Just over 3% of pancreatic cancer patients survive past 5 years after diagnosis- it has the worst survival rate of all 22 common cancers.

My name is Matthew Thompson and for my 29th birthday I am organized Thompson 29, a charity benefit to raise awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer. All funds raised went towards TGEN (Translation Genomics Research Institute), a nonprofit medical research institute dedicated to researching common and complex diseases, including cancer, neurological disorders, infectious disease, and rare childhood disorders. The TGen Foundation (non-profit that secures and stewards private support to fuel TGen’s biomedical discoveries ) is a 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization, Federal Tax ID: 33-1092191

I have personally experienced the loss of a loved one, my mother - Donna Cohen, to pancreatic cancer. This is what drives my passion.

My mother worked at a non-profit until the day she died and now its my turn to start giving back. Find out how you can join the fight below.
